: The Smart Connector
feature is in Early Access. If you are interested in participating, please reach out to

Alarm.com Sales Representative.
This feature is only available using the LX30B-AUC.
Alarm.com offers
customers a deeper interactive experience with the Smart Connector feature on select control panel
models compatible with the
LX30B Alarm.com Universal Communicator (AUC).
If Smart Connector is available and enabled for an account, the customer will receive
the following functionality
(dependent on specific control panel model):

Ability to Arm Stay, Arm Away, and Arm Night their control panel from the
Customer app
?
Ability to configure and distinctly arm and disarm multiple partitions
Control panel compatibility
Various versions of control panels listed in the following table have been tested for
full functionality and approved for use
with Smart Connector, but not all versions of these panel models have been tested. Full Smart Connector functionality
may or may not work with non-Alarm.com tested control panel versions.
Verify
the customer fully tests all features before the Smart Connector set up is considered complete.

For Paradox panels:
a.
CLK on the communicator should be wired to the serial connector GRN
b.
DATA on the communicator should be wired to the serial connector YEL
Control panel programming
DSC and Paradox control panel programming
For DSC and Paradox control panels, verify the phone line is
connected and programmed for POTS communication. For
more information about programming for POTS, see

There is no additional panel programming required for Smart Connector to function properly.
Honeywell Vista control panel programming
For Honeywell Vista panels, the following programming steps need to be taken:
1.
Enter the programming mode by entering [installer code]
[8] [0] [0]

2.
Then program keypad address 23 for partition 1. To do this, enter
[*] [1] [9] [6]
and then
[1] [0]
.
3.
If using 2 partitions (optional), program keypad address 22 for partition 2. To do so, enter
[*] [1] [9] [5]

Disable Auto-Stay Arm by entering

Enable Contact ID event sending by Long Range Radio (LRR) by entering

After the
programming is complete, exit
programming mode by entering

Alarm.com website configuration
1.
Verify the account that is being configured has an LX30B communicator on it with firmware version 2.22.3+.
2.
Select
the correct Remote Arming Option on the Partner Portal:

If creating a new account, in the
System Info
section under the
Remote Arming Option

select
Keybus
Arming
.

If modifying an existing account:
a.
Find the customer account.
b.
In
Customer Information
, click
Edit
.
c.
In
System Information
, use the
Remote Arming Option
dropdown menu to
select
Keybus Arming
.
3.
Enter the remote command code using
the Customer website.
This is the
code that will be used to properly
implement all arming commands for the account.

: Only the primary login or logins with master control are
able to edit the
Remote Command Code

To set the remote command code:
a.
Log in to the Customer website.
b.
Click
Settings

c.
Click
Control Panel Settings

d.
Click
Smart Connector Settings.
e.
In
Remote Command Code
, enter any user code in the system that allows for arming and disarming.

Have the customer
arm or disarm the
system. Once the system is first armed or disarmed, the correct number of
partitions will populate in the Customer app, Customer website, Partner Portal, and MobileTech app.
